You Made It. I’m Moki. Who are you?

I make art to witness and share the small, often overlooked blinks of life—the quiet gestures, offbeat moments, and emotional weight we each carry but rarely name. My work holds space for curiosity, memory, and feeling—without forcing resolution—because some things are best shared partly, in process, with room to grow. Through photography, writing, and handmade publications, I explore our interrelatedness with each other, with land, and with time. I'm drawn to the rhythm of the ordinary, the unpolished and earthly, the intimate hum of being alive.

Rooted in Burlington, WI with ties all around the midwest, I obtained a BS in Conservation and Environmental Science from UW - Milwaukee in 2016. To have a diverse, authentic understanding of how the natural world is viewed by society, I sought out positions in multiple settings from the research department of the WI DNR, a prairie restoration company in Minnesota, service businesses engaging directly with the public, and my own garden design / stewardship business.

The last nine years I have carried a camera, pen, and paper by my side.

I am so excited to grow and share alongside you!
