STAY TUNED
Life has been scattered this week.
Gooder than better…
because…
We decided to move into our new space!
Made the first meal with the new appliances and cookware. All is livable and functional except the shower, I will be finishing the shower in the coming couple weeks between garden work and then I can FINALLY change gears.
Today I finished pouring the final shower floor layer, next is tiling. So far I have been pleased that all the backsplash tiling/grout has been true to my vision. The shower has a bit more wiggle room with knockouts and curb ‘accents’, still deciding which of our tiles I wish to use in those areas.
Anyways, been making lists of house items we’re missing and could thrift or save up for, analyzing personal budgets, and decorating the space with our artistic touches.
Thought it would be fun this week to show some behind the scenes of MY LIFE!
Here we go!
SPOTLIGHT
As a photographer, I don’t have many photos of myself, but those close to me capture quality moments. These moments are candid and treasured.
When I loopback over my days, there’s lots of fixing/problem solving, gardening, hanging with friends, indulging foods, making/enjoying music, life learning, and more.
I included a healthy mix, some goofy moments, some serious.
Some inside. Or outside.
Plants.
Pizza.
People.
Photos.
I’ll let the photos speak for themselves.

SPARK
Been on the up and up since last week’s migraine episode. My new medication kinda helped, but at the cost of some major side effects. I’ll try it out some more to see what maybe improves the episodes and what makes them worse. Any improvement on the migraine front is still worth celebrating. The most important factor is ‘trigger’ awareness and mitigation.
So it goes.
Whenever I have a migraine, all my senses are heightened beyond tolerance. Everything and anything becomes overstimulating and intense. I always carry normal ear plugs/airpods/over the ear headphones and I wear my tinted glasses in harsh lights, but I got an upgrade this week!
After researching a while, I purchased ‘Everyday Earplugs’ from Earpeace. They reduce noise/sounds up to 22dB, are discrete in size, and comfortably made. These earplugs are intended for noisy commutes (think motorcycle rides, bus, plane, etc), community spaces, and anytime you wish to cut down the volume without reducing awareness. Figured it’d be ideal for me.
I like having some backup options, as I never know what my day will bring or when a migraine will creep up. These everyday earplugs will hopefully help!
No ad affiliation, just excited to try new things and find relief ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
STACKED
Anonymous Landscape - Yuko Otomo
“In a country renowned to be possessive of its language – France ‒ Yuko Otomo composed her manifesto Anonymous Landscape. There are no raised fists, no resentments, no confrontations, and only a modicum of regret. Released rather than frustrated by her inability to name things in that proud tongue, she leads the reader to understand her reunification with all creation, as if returned to the Garden prior to the delegation of appellation. An act of reverse alienation. Her immodest proposition is rendered in the most modest of dictions. There are 200, call them sub-poems, each with an integrity of sometimes aphorism, imagery, irony or moving simplicity. Their austerities match the austerity of her persuasion. Their gem-likeness has the credibility of lived thought. Her sensitivity to words and the demands of craft, not by chance, renders us an implausible beauty.”

SEE YOU
Also to note, these fall days are perfect for impromptu basketball sessions.
I’ve been keeping a basketball in my van just for that reason.
Like everything else in life.
Better get practicing.
Wishing you refreshing autumn winds!
